APHROSIDIACS AND SEXUAL THINGS

PAUL SCOTT'S BOOK ON APHRODISIACS

Living in a country that produces aphrodisiac foods by the ton, it is no wonder that Thai cuisine has become the new trend in eating. Thai restaurants mushroom everywhere, going westward from Knightsbridge, London to  Sunset Boulevard Los Angeles, or eastward from Champs-Élysée Paris, to Novinsky Boulevard, Moscow, the popular cuisine is packed full of aphrodisiac components.

These ingredients listed are high on stimulants, with a suggestion of what to order when out on a romantic evening in a Thai restaurant anywhere in the world.

Hot Chillies
The most important component in any Thai dish.
Capsaicin, a chemical found in fiery peppers, increases circulation to get blood pumping and stimulates nerve endings so you'll feel more turned on.

Even if the dish does not have any chillies, then ask for a condiment of Fish sauce which usually have these hot peppers floating in them.

Oysters
We know, we know: Oysters as an aphrodisiac sounds so clichéd, but they really can spark randiness. These shellfish are brimming with zinc, a mineral that cranks up the production of testosterone, which has been linked to a higher sex drive. You can have them raw but a delicious Thai way is  Oyster omlette, a dish to die for.

Asparagus and Avocados
The vitamin E in these green veg helps your body churn out hormones like testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone, which circulate in your bloodstream and stimulate sexual responses in your body.  On the griddle with chucks of garlic would make perfect accompaniment to the Omlette.

Bananas
Chiquitas deliver potassium, a nutrient key to muscle strength. So when you reach your highest peak, the degree in the intensity will transport you with power.

Chocolate
Cocoa contains the chemical phenylethylamine, a stimulant that conjures just the sort of subtle feelings of well-being and excitement that make sex seem like a great idea.

Pomegranates
These beautiful luscious seeds owe its passion power to antioxidants, which protect the lining of blood vessels, allowing more blood to course through them. This is called the "fruit of the Gods" in Pharoah times.

Salmon and Walnuts
They're packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which keep sex-hormone production at its peak.  This dish of Salmon Panang curry will go very well with Jasmin rice.

Watermelon
Make yours a watermelon martini. The juicy fruit contains the phytonutrient citrulline, which pushes the amount of nitric oxide higher in your body. That spike causes blood vessels to relax and speeds up circulation. As a result, you'll get more aroused in less time.

Vanilla
Postdinner, devour ice cream flavored with this sweet bean. It mildly stimulates nerves, making sexual sensations feel even better.

So tonight. wherever you are in the world, your nearest Thai restaurant should be able to give you the following menu :    While waiting for your order, start off with a Watermelon martini, nibbling on chilli and garlic infused walnuts.  A steaming plate of Jasmin Rice accompanied by Salmon Panang curry, Oyster omlette, grilled Asparagus sprinkled with garlic.    Ending this with a chocolate banana and vanilla ice-cream although not Thai but copy the Thai way:  delicately cut open a Pomegranate and feed your lover seed by seed until he capitulates.

Then tonight will be yours.
